Mentor Training Workshop for Graduate Students & Postdoctoral Scholars

In this interactive experience, participants will gain confidence in handling mentoring conversations and dilemmas, learn about resources for effective mentoring, and create a mentoring plan that can be readily implemented. The ACS workshop is adapted from the Center for the Improvement of Mentored Experiences in Research's (CIMER) Entering Mentoring Curriculum, an evidence-based, culturally responsive training designed for research mentors across career stages and disciplines. All workshop facilitators are trained CIMER facilitators.

Who Should Attend

Graduate students and postdoctoral scholars aiming to enhance their mentoring skills and foster productive relationships in their roles as mentors.

This workshop is also offered as part of the ACS Bridge Program and Postdoc to Faculty Workshop for invitees only.

You can register for the workshop when you register for the ACS Fall 2024. 

There is a $25 registration fee that will be refunded to you after the workshop. Spaces are limited. If you are unable to secure a space, you can request to be placed on a waiting list by emailing GradEd@acs.org.
