The ACS webinar series in Colombia is an online event "ACS en Colombia", completely free, and where participation certificates will be granted to attendees. The content of the sessions in Spanish is oriented towards scientific communication and covers topics related to how to choose the right journal to publish, 10 tips for publishing your scientific article, open access, among others. Likewise, the topics cover disciplines such as chemistry and related sciences: physics, biology, health sciences, materials sciences, engineering and food sciences, among others. Likewise, the series of webinars is directed by areas of Colombia, such as the Colombian Pacific, Central East and Llanos, South Center and Colombian Amazon, Colombian Caribbean and Eje Cafetero and Antioquia.

In spanish: La serie de webinars ACS en Colombia, es un evento online, totalmente gratuito, y donde se otorgarán certificados de participación a los asistentes. El contenido de las sesiones está orientado a la comunicación científica y abarca temas relacionados con cómo escoger la revista adecuada para publicar, 10 tips para publicar tu artículo científico, acceso abierto (Open Access), entre otros. De igual forma, los temas cubren disciplinas como la química y ciencias relacionadas: física, biología, ciencias de la salud, ciencias de los materiales, ingeniería y ciencias de los alimentos, entre otras. Así mismo, la serie de webinars está dirigida por zonas de Colombia, tales como el Pacífico colombiano, Centro Oriente y Llanos, Centro Sur y Amazonía colombiana, Caribe colombiano y Eje Cafetero y Antioquia.

Speaker

  • Juliana Garcia, Costumer Success Specialist, Juliana is the current Customer Success Specialist for ACS Publications Latin America, a division of the American Chemical Society. She holds a degree in Chemical Engineering, and has obtained both her Master’s and Doctorate in Food Science and Technology from the Universidad Nacional de Colombia. Juliana has served as a visiting scholar at the University of Messina in Italy, The Ohio State University in the USA, and the University of Seville in Spain. She has more than 10 publications in the area of sensory analysis and chemical study of food. Juliana has also been awarded the Fulbright scholarship and has participated in the ACS Summer School on Green Chemistry & Sustainable Energy 2023.
